upgraded to vmWare Fustion 6 but cannot create from bootcamp

I have upgraded Fusion 5 to Fusion 6 and tried to upgrade my Bootcamp virtual machine and it kept giving me an error that I needed to delete the virtual machine.

The message is

Your Boot Camp installation has been modified since you last accessed it.

Move the Boot Camp virtual machine to the trash then select "Run Boot Camp" to recreate it. This will not affect the Windows applications or data on your Boot Camp partition.

Module DiskEarly power on failed.

Failed to start the virtual machine.

I tried moving to the trash and that didn't seem to help. I moved it back but still kept getting the above message. I then deleted the virtual machine from within Fusion. Which seems to have deleted completely not just move it to the trash. Which not a problem if I could create the virtual machine but when I try to create the virtual machine from Boot Camp I get the following message, under Choose a Boot Camp Volume:

BOOTCAMP

If another virtual machine is using the disk, it must be powered off first.

Selecting the volume and the option (Create a Boot Camp virtual machine) I cannot select CONTINUE. The CONTINUE button is greyed out.

I've tried searching the web but can't find a solution.

Thankfully, I can still use bootcamp but I have gotten so used to using both Mac and Windows that I am already missing it.

I hope someone shed some light how I can fix this problem.
