Hi
I have looked all around the forums and on the web... can't seem to find a fix....
My NAT settings do not work at home through my wifi or ethernet cable.
I have a macBookPro running Maverick...
my VM is windows XP
I am not expert on networking... but have followed instruction from various links... and still can not get it to work at home.
i have gone as far as uninstalling and re-installing VMware ... but still no luck...
anyway ...
In the office .. all settings work ... i.e. NAT and Bridged... with wifi and with ethernet (meaning i can reach the web through the VM)
at home ... i can not reach the web through the vm if in NAT mode... I can only do it bridged... but I need NAT for VPN.
note.. the host comp... my MacBook... is always on the network... and i can always get on the web through my mac...
I have a feeling that it has to do with DHCP settings... but i don't know how to confirm that.
any help appreciated
thanks,
dave
