Hello I have a clean installation of Mac OSX 10.9 I bring up in a VM but when I bring the VMware Tools installation, get an error:
VMware Tools can't be installed on this disk. VMware Tools needs Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.

I tried both 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 versions of the darwin.iso for VMware Fusion. but getting the same error. I am wondering what VMware is actually checking to determine OS versions. I have in the past been successful installing the same software on the same machine, but I have tried re-installing from scratch (more than once), and tried numerous setting changes on both host and guest with no joy. Does anyone know how to fix?
