I was looking at the workflow for downloading an ISO and running a Live CD/DVD. It's somewhat cumbersome...
1. The "New Virtual Machine" button presumes an OS will be installed when I just may want to run some content from an ISO.
2. I must choose Advanced Installation Option for choosing my ISO (not so clear).
3. I must create a Disk, which if a user is unaware of the nature of dynamically expanding disk may be alarmed at the initial 8 GB size! Yes the caption does say "The virtual disk will start small and then become larger as you add applications, files to your virtual machine." What's "small"? Small is subjective and relative for large files: so what is small? 1 GB? At least, I can enter 0 but then Fusion "beeps" as to object to this value.
4. To set the VM's RAM, I again, have to get into Advanced options (maybe the default is OK for most Live CD/DVDs).
It would be realy nice to just have a "Run Live CD/DVD" option which lets you insert physical media or choose an ISO file and go. Plus it saves me from having to find the placeholder VM to delete it afterward.
