My mac is running Mavericks and I'm having an issue with my USB mouse.

After booting my mac, I see

Vmware fusion

system_profiler SPUSBDataType

.....

USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Bus:

      Host Controller Location: Built-in USB

      Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBXHCI

      PCI Device ID: 0x1e31

      PCI Revision ID: 0x0004

      PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086

      Bus Number: 0x0a

        Composite Device:

          Product ID: 0x1166

          Vendor ID: 0x1241

          Version:  2.00

          Speed: Up to 1.5 Mb/sec

          Location ID: 0x14200000 / 1

          Current Available (mA): 500

          Current Required (mA): 100

After unpluging the mouse the composite device is gone

When I plug the mouse I see the following composite device that keeps appearing and disappearing

  USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Bus:

      Host Controller Location: Built-in USB

      Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBXHCI

      PCI Device ID: 0x1e31

      PCI Revision ID: 0x0004

      PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086

      Bus Number: 0x0a

        Composite Device:

          Product ID: 0x0001

          Vendor ID: 0x0e0f  (VMWare, Inc.)

          Version:  2.00

          Speed: Up to 1.5 Mb/sec

          Location ID: 0x14200000 / 1

          Current Available (mA): 500

Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)

it looks like Vmware fusion is trying to do some wierd things to my mouse [ while I dont redirect ANY USB devices to vmware]

Any workaround or ideas?
