Help! I'm running VMWare Fusion 5.0.4 and Windows 8.1 Pro. Everything was working fine until recently, I can no longer use any USB devices in Windows. I mainly use this for development so I really need to connect my devices to the VM so I can debug my apps. Also I tried with a Blu Ray drive but it is no longer being recognized.
Every time I restart Windows, I keep getting this pop up on the desktop that says USB Device Not Recognized - "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it"
Steps I have taken that were unsuccessful
1.- Remove VMware Fusion form my MacBook and reinstalled it
2 - uninstalled all USB controllers from Windows and restarted.
3 - Reinstalled VMware Tools
