Private Network NAT Fusion 6.0.2

I have Fusion 6.0.2 running on 10.9.2.  I created a custom vmnet2 network which is just setup to allow NAT.  I changed the subnet to 192.168.10.0/24.  I installed Windows Server 2012 Standard on a guest and set the adapter to vmnet2.  I Configured a static IP address on the guest server of 192.168.10.11/24.  Where is it documented or where can I check to see what I should use as a gateway address to get off of my private network?  On my host system I checked the command line: ifconfig -a which didn't list any interfaces on that private network.  From the guest server OS I tried to ping 192.168.10.1 and nothing, however 192.168.10.2 answered.  I set that to my gateway and I am good to go.  I can get out to the Internet and other networks.  Its working and I am happy, could someone point me in the direction of where this is documented?

Thanks

John
