Hi everybody, so here's an interesting one... I am running Fusion 6.0.2 and recently upgraded my Mac from Lion to Mavericks. I run a Windows 7 VM when I am working, which uses a Cisco VPN and SoftPhone. Previously, on Lion, Fusion prevented the Mac from sleeping. The display used to turn off, but not the disks or network, hence when I stopped for a cuppa for 10 minutes, or lunch for an hour, when I cam back, my VPN was still logged in and my SoftPhone was still connected.
Since upgrading to Mavericks, the VM goes to sleep when the Mac does and I need to prevent this, because when it resumes I have to exit the softphone and agent and log back in again, which is a pain.
I have disabled "Pass Power Status to VM" in the VM settings:
I have changed the power settings in the VM:
... and I have "Disabled the suspend feature" as per VMware KB2056501http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2056501
None of this seems to work. How can I change the behavior so that my VM and my Mac don't sleep?
