Hi,
I'd love to be able to press F5 to refresh a page in Internet Explorer 10 (on Windows 7, running in VMWare Fusion 6.0.2 on OS X 10.9.2). I've never worked out how to do this; no combination of Fn, Ctrl, Alt, Cmd + F5 have ever worked for me.
(Actually, between you and me, I'd love to be able to do a ⌘-R to refresh when I'm actually using IE in VMWare, but I'll settle for *any* keyboard shortcut doing it right now!)
I'm using an Apple wireless keyboard (although there's no difference using the native MacBook Air's keyboard either).
I have “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” checked in OS X System Preferences (although it makes no difference if it's unchecked).
I usually run Fusion in Full Screen mode (although it makes no difference if it's running in Unity mode)
In VMWare Fusion Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse tab I have tried various combinations…
I have a "Profile - Default" set, which gives me a long list of mappings, all of which are ticked
“Enable key mappings” is checked (although it makes no difference if it's unchecked)
Under “Mac Host Shortcuts” I have “Enable…” checked (because I use the ⌘-⇥ dock switcher all the time; makes no difference if it's unchecked anyway)
Nothing I can do seems to make any difference… F5 to refresh in Internet explorer just won't work!
What am I missing here? Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Thanks
Giles
