Hi,
I have been searching this site and the Internet in general but I could not find an answer to this particular question, so my apologies if it's been asked before and if so, please point me to the answer.
I have an iMac with a Bootcamp partition with Windows 7 Professional x64 and everything is working fine.
I would like to install Fusion 6 and create a virtual machine from the Bootcamp partition, test it for a while, and then delete the Bootcamp partition. I have found extensive documentation about this and I should be able to get this done without any problems, save maybe for the Windows reactivation.
Now the question: since I occasionally travel, I would like to be able to move this virtual machine on a Macbook Pro so I don't have to move file, sync, etc., and the virtual machine will not be used at the same time. I have read that you should use Move so the UUID and Mac address do not change but I am not sure if this applies to moving the vm to another computer. So my question is:
1) Is this possible?
2) Do I need to purchase a second copy of Fusion 6 or there is a player that will allow me to run the vm on the macbook?
Thanks,
Luciano
