Has anyone found a verified fix to get a Western Digital My Passport Ultra 1TB USB 3.0 drive working with VMware Fusion 6? I know it's problem or fault with VMware Fusion because it works fine in VMware Workstation 10. As a heavily vested VMware shop this is very disappointing.
History
Built brand new Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 7 x64 virtual machine and performed all Microsoft Updates using VMware Fusion 6.0.3 and OS X 10.9.2 with Late 2012 13" MacBook Pro Retina.
Problem
Connected Western Digital My Passport Ultra 1TB USB 3.0 drive to newly built VM. Receive the following error:
The device "(Western Digital My Passport 0741)" was unable to connect to its ideal host controller.

Solution (i.e., Not Really A Solution)
Use VMware Workstation 10 on hp Elite 8300 workstation running Windows 7 Professional x64. No problems encountered.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this very annoying VMware Fusion and USB 3.0 issue I'd greatly appreciate it.
