Hi,
I am facing this weird problem when connecting to a wi-fi at Hotel on my trip where the MAC (Host) loses internet Connectivity as soon as I start the Guest OS (Windows 7). The Guest OS is configured with Bridged (Automatic). I see that both the Host and Guest have separate IPV4 received via DHCP. If the Guest OS was never turned on, the MAC (Host) works fine with the obtained IP Address.
I don't have the same problem at my home or at my work where both the Host and Guest operates with out issues.
I have read about some discussions saying that the AP might not support two IP Addresses on the same wifi. But in this case, the two should have separate HW Addresses and I have seen both of them receiving separate IPV4 addresses.
One more thing I observed is that even though I cannot browse the Internet on MAC Host when the Guest is started, the Skype on the MAC Host continue to maintain the Connectivity.
I can not use the NAT option on Vmware network configuration for Guest, as both the Host and Guest have to have separate VPN Connectivity.
Any pointers would be helpful.
