I recently updated to Fusion 6. I can no longer run any of the linux virtual machines in unity mode. The icon, and menu item is greyed out.
Windows guest machines have no problems with unity mode adding more to the confusion.
I have attempted the following:
- upgraded the machines to use version 10 of the virtual hardware
- downloaded latest version of VMware tools
- installed latest version of VMware tools in each guest
- rebooted host and virtual machines numerous times
I believe that the VMware tools are installed correctly since I can drag/drop files to
the virtual machines, and share filesystems.
Is this truly a problem, or some misconfiguration on my end?
do I need to add something to my vmx file?
any tips would be appreciated.
