I have an iMac 21.5", i5 3.6 Ghz single processor with dual cores, 16 GB ram, 2TB harddrive running fusion 3.1.4.
I created a Windows 7 Fusion image, allocating 8GB memory, 100GB HD space, and 2 cpu cores.
While trying to run some video encoding testes in Win 7 using Pinnacle Studio, the CPU doesn't seem to get very busy, below 10%. Not suprising, the video test is performing very slowly. On the MAC side, it shows 6GB memory free, and the vmware image is using about 40% of the CPU.
Can anyone tell me how I can get my cpu usage on the Win 7 to be much higher so my encoding goes faster. The exact same test on my Win 7 PC causes the CPU to be in the 60-75% range. Is there some Fusion setup I missed on getting the cpu to run higher?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
