I'm running Mavericks on a VMWare Virtual Machine (which is also running on Mavericks). It's VMWare 6.0.4.
I filled up my first 40 GB of space on the guest OS, and needed to increase the disk size, as only 160 MB of free space was making the guest OS run really slow. I went into settings and increased the size to 70 GB. But when I restarted the guest OS, it still says 40GB with only 160 MB of free space. I then tried pre-allocating the disk space. My .vmwarevm file now takes up 70 GB (actually it's 77) on my host OS, but in the guest OS it still says the HD is only 40 GB with 160 MB free.
I also tried re-installing VMWare Tools, but no luck.
Any ideas how to get the guest OS to recognize it actually has the full amount of disk space available?
Thanks in advance for your help!
