Importing a Parallels 10 vm into Fusion 7

Hello,

We are looking into moving our VMs from Parallels to Fusion. As part of this evaluation, we have been trying to import our existing Parallels 10 VMs into Fusion 7 through the File -> Import feature in the VMWare Fusion app.

Once we select our existing Parallels VM and start the import, it appears to run for a while, looks like it is about to finsh, then fails with the message "VMX file is corrupt".

Since we really would like to move our existing VMs to Fusion and not have to create a new VM from scratch, can someone assist us with debugging this issue? Are there logs we can look at to understand why this failed? Is it even possible to import a Parallels 10 VM into Fusion?
