I have just made a re-install of windows 8.1 on my bootcamp partition after formating my harddrive and restoring with Timemachine. I have fusion 6.0 with latest updates. I use different CAD-programs that I can only use in windows. I would like to be able to save files on my OSX partition that I create in the programs when running in the windows bootup. Not in the virtual machine, as this makes the programes go to slow. So i have tried to make a folder sharing using the option in VMware fusion and slecting a specific folder in my MAC´s document folder. I can see the shared folder when I´m in the virtual machine. But if I boot up in windows, the z: vmware-host/Shared Folders is not accessible. It says that the network dosn´t exist... I have tried reinstalling the software following the instructions in the support document KB101455 but it does not make any different. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to do? I really need to get this up and going.
