Can a DNS be simulated on host only environment to support SCAN IPs for Oracle 11gR2 RAC

Here is my environment:

1.  host computer:  Mac Book Pro

2.  VMware fusion version:  version 7 professional

3.  VMs defined (Oracle Enterprise Linux, version 6.5):

a.  iscsi VM

b.  1 Oracle RAC template.  This will be used to create 2 Oracle RAC VMs

Each Oracle RAC node has the following network requirements:

a.  public hostname - this is associated with its own ethernet interface

b.  public virtual hostname - this is associated with its own ethernet interface

c.  private hostname - this is associated with its own ethernet interface

d.  SCAN DNS name that would resolve to 2 IP addresses (round-robin).  The SCAN IPs must not be in the /etc/hosts file

So, here is my question.  How can I create or mimic a SCAN DNS in my host only environment?  In other words, my entire test network for supporting this RAC environment will ONLY exist on my Mac Book Pro--no connection to a LAN or the net.

Thanks
