I'm having issue with CPU usage running VMWare Fusion 7 on OS X Yosemite 10.10. On VMware Fusion 7.0 I am running Win7 Pro.
After upgrading to Yosemite all actions take an extremely long time in Windows. Even boot up takes about 15 minutes or longer. From the exact moment that I click 'Start up' for the VM my host CPU usage spikes to 100% and stays there. This is an unusable situation. The maximum use for WIn7 I do is running Office 2013 apps. The issue of high CPU usage intensifies when am using any app from Office 2013 on Win7.
I am running this on 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 Mac with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD.
Tried these things:
- Reinstalling VMware tools
- Shutting off unneeded services one at a time
- Reclaiming Disk space
- Rebooting the host
- Changed Cpu allocation to just 1 CPU and RAM allocated to 4GB
- Went through these forums looking for help.
Is anyone else facing the same issue? Any suggestion to cure appreciated.
