VMWare has not yet addressed the graphics performance issue... so I am wondering, is the cause of both one in the same?
1) I.E. does "sudo nvram boot-args=debug=0x10" not only fix VMWare 7 being sluggish on Yosemite, but also fix the Windows 7 Graphics performance issues as well?
2) Does it only fix the issues on specific iMacs or will it improve on MacBook Pro as well?
Can someone from VMWare comment please?
I am waiting to update MacOSX and Fusion on my primary development machines due to these issues, which in turn is impacting my iOS development environment as well. This is pretty urgent.
P.S. Please don't start rehashing a bunch of suggestions like re-install fusion, re-install tools in the guest, downgrade to a lower hardware revision for the guest etc. All have been tried and have not resolved the issue. With degraded video performance, the IDEs and other development tools are unusable.
Fusion 6 and Mavericks with the same VMs work perfectly (other than the current known video glitches and bugs.)
I would just like an answer from VMWare as to whether or not this is known to address both issues.
