Issues Migrating Win7 PC to Fusion 7 VM

I recently purchased a new iMac computer and I'm trying to migrate my old Windows 7 PC into a Fusion 7 VM. Yes I know I could just build a new Win7 VM up from scratch, but I trying to avoid having to reinstall and configure all of my Windows software.  In fact I do have a new Win7 VM built to use for other Windows adventures to keep my personal Windows environment safe.

I have the following configuration:

·         Apple iMac 4 GHz Retina system with 32GB Ram, 3TB Fusion Drive, and a 4GB graphics card. (Yes I splurged for once and maxed it out).

·         Mac OS X Yosemite.

·         Fusion 7.0.1

·         Windows 7 Ultimate installed and configure on the PC to be migrated.  (Downloaded the Fusion migration software and installed).

I completed the migration of my PC to a VM on the Mac, and after installing the tools and a few reboots and configuration adjustments of the VM it works pretty nice.  However, I found 2 issues; one is a show stopped, and the other a huge annoyance.

1)      I can’t get the Windows networking connected to my Mac network, the clean Win7 VM works just fine, but the migrated PC no joy!  Has anyone run into this and know how to resolve it?

2)      The other issue relates to the configured disk size of the migrated VM.  No time during the migration process did it ask about disks or disk size.  My PC has Windows installed on a 1 TB hard drive, so the VM was migrated in with a size of about 998 GB!   I don’t need this to be that big, is there any way to limit the VM disk size when migrating?  Or shrink it down now?

Thanks for any help available.
