Hello,
I have VMWare Fusion 5. My bootcamp partition was running out of HDD space, so I converted it to a VM, rather than accessing Bootcamp via Fusion. Now when I check the HDD size in Fusion it says I have a 698.64 GB disk! When I open the VM and login to Windows I then get a message saying it is running low on hard disk space.
Via Finder I can see that it is really only 40 GB, so it is not hogging my entiire HDD, however I cannot resize it down to say 50 GB to overcome the space warning in Windows. It appears as a single 40 GB file in Finder.
FYI, it is an IDE disk, where I cannot also set it to Pre-allocate disk space nor can I split it into 2 GB files (which would be great so only the relevant files get backed up via Time Machine!).
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
John
