Hi folks,
I have a Mac Mini with 10.10.1 installed. I have Fusion 7 and I have installed Windows 7 Pro. I look after a Active Directory Domain and I have connected the Windows 7 OS to it as a client.
I am using NAT currently. The problems begin with I try to use Bridging - Ethernet mode. I would prefer the Windows client to have it's own IP on the network for it helps me with troubleshooting the domain instead of having this 192.x.x.x IP address. When I turn on bridge mode something very strange happens. I lose the network on the Windows VM session but I also lose my connection on my Mac IOS session. It says in the Preferences Ethernet cable unplugged. I have to usually restart the Mac to get it back.
I can understand the Windows session losing the network but the Mac as the host I would have not expected that to happen. Even if I close Fusion it still doesn't come back until I restart. If I start up the Windows session again and try again it does the same thing.
Is this a known issue/bug? I've used it this way before in previous versions but never had this issue.
I should add that I created the Windows session with Bootcamp and use Fusion to boot it whilst in Mac iOS. However I had previously done it the other way without using Boot-camp and it was the same.
