Running on an MacBooAir6,2 13" with 8GB RAM and OSX 10.9.4. Connected to an external display with 1920x1200 resolution. VM RAM is 2 GB with 2 CPU cores assigned. VM is Win7 Ultimate with all the latest updates as of 2014-09-16.
After the upgrade to Fusion 7 (from 6) and HW version 11, I cannot enter Unity mode. When I press the Unity button, I hear a few device plug/unplug sounds from the Win7 VM and it fails back to Single Window mode.
Tried everything including the following:
- Raising VM VRAM setting to 2GB.
- Enabling Retina options in VM Display settings.
What is going on with Fusion? Why can't it, all of a sudden, handle Unity mode?
I would have thought a simple configuration like this (1920x1200 external monitor connected to a laptop) would have been tested before the product is released. Sigh ....
VMX log showing what happens when I try to enter Unity mode is here: fusion7 unity fail - Pastebin.com
