Before Tom Howarth or WoodyZ rush to close down this thread, let me explain something:
I started 2 threads previously where I mentioned my problems using Mac OS 10.6 Client in Fusion.
Thanks to your replies, I am now well informed that doing this is illegal so I have given up on that. I am not a criminal and do not intend to violate any rules of VMWare or these forums.
Now, a theoretical question:
I would like to run an old Emagic program (SoundDiver) and it requires an Emagic XSkey, which is a USB dongle of sorts. I am prepared to buy a copy of OSX Server in order to do this legally. However, before I waste any more money on what might be a futile exercise, I'd like to know if any users here have experience with running an XSkey successfully in Fusion. The Client version of OS10.6 does not see the XSkey. Is there any chance that the Server 10.6 will be any better? Alternatively, could I run the app in Windows? I have the original install disks which include a Windows version.
I'd be grateful for any information and/or encouragement before I LEGALLY buy and install OSX Server which I understand is allowed by Apple and VMWARE. Kindly correct me if I'm wrong. As I've said in other posts, I'm new to VMWare and and I'm genuinely and honestly trying to solve a problem.
I'd appreciate some latitude and understanding here.
