Fusion 7.1 Pro - can't copy .vmwarevm file from old disk to a new one - input/output error after 4 hours of processing ...

Hey folks,

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro under MAC OSX Yosemite with Fusion 7.1 Pro for a while with no problem. Last week something got bad with Yosemite after an Apple update and I had to reinstall Mac OSX 10.9 - Mavericks.

Since I had to do that I decided upgrade my hard disk to one new REGULAR (no SSD) 2TB disk. I installed successfully the MAC OSX 10.9 and the Fusion 7.1 Pro but when I try to move my Virtual Windows 8.1 Pro machine from old disk to the new one I get this message:

VMware Fusion| I120: __43-[DUIDeviceHardDisk abortBlockWithContext:]_block_invoke failed with cancelled: 0, error: Input/output error.

This happen after 4 hours of processing, when I already copied 525GB of data.

My windows machine does have 848GB in total (that's the size of .vmwarevm file).

The problem is the Windows machine is my production environment (I'm IT consulting) and MUST be running ASAP ...

How can I fix that ?

Other information: I can run the machine from the external disk if I call it from Fusion - I just can't copy the files or clone it or import it ...

thx for any glue !!!!!

Regards.
