I have an Acer 19" external monitor (X193W) connected to my Macbook Pro (Yosemite), running Windows 7 on VMWare Fusion 7.
On my VM of Windows 7, I am running Microsoft Office 2010. Oftentimes when I am using MS Publisher, my external monitor will flicker randomly. The LCD goes black for about 1 second, then comes right back on. Sometimes this will happen 5-8 times within a period of 10 minutes. When using other programs within the VM such as Access, I do not experience this issue, nor do apps run within the host OS seem to cause flickering. The issue only seems to be with Publisher / Win 7 VM.
VMWare Fusion 4 was causing the same issues, and when I recently upgraded to version 7, it did not fix the issue (same VM File, but I have updated VMWare Tools, run all Windows Updates, installed non-generic monitor drivers...).
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or similar?
