I need to send alt-F1 or alt-F2 or ... to my VM on an external iMac wired keyboard. these are the virtual console keys on linux. one needs to go to the Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Key Mappings and enter them there.
alas, how do I enter "F1" in the bottom ? I cannot type in the key, and in OSX it is intercepted by the screen brightness. for example, I may want to map applekey-w to alt-F1 .
