Hi
Could anybody help with an issue using the microphone on audio conferences using Skype or Lync in Windows 8.1? What's happening is the remote attendees get to hear an echo of themselves, which is due to the microphone picking up the sound from the speakers. Traditionally this is cancelled out by hardware/software/drivers when on loud speaker/handsfree. In fact, it works perfectly with OS X, just not within the Fusion Windows 8.1 guest.
I note that this issue has been raised before and not been resolved (here:
). Noticeably there's a pattern where this is occurring. This issue appears to have come about at the same time that Apple started shipping laptops with dual microphones to cut down background noise. Could it be that Fusion drivers aren't smart enough to deal with the signal from these mice, or at least mix the signals down to a mono channel?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Tim
