I upgraded Fusion 6 to 7.1 Pro today. What prompted the update was some screen refresh issues when running Win 8.1. After the upgrade, when I opened my Windows 8.1 64-bit OS on my MacBook Pro Retina running Yosemite with all latest updates, it asked me if it was ok to "upgrade" the virtual m))achine. Having read I should do this, I said OK. When I start this virtual machine under 7.1 Pro, I see the 8.1 Windows logo and the spinning circle indicating the OS is starting up. Then the screen goes totally blank (black). Sending Ctrl-Alt-Delete does nothing, and no matter how long I let it sit there (30+min), nothing but a blank, black screen.
Pretty disappointed that upgrading to the latest Fusion product totally broke the product. I am dead in the water now on using my virtual machine. Anyone else have this issue, and any suggestions on what to do / try? I searched the "knowledge base" and found nothing.
