I am switching to an mbp (2014) and using fusion with a vm which was a vm workstation 9 compat vm running win7 32 bit. Prior to switching onto the mbp, I was using vm workstation 11 although i hadn't upgraded the vm itself.
The vm opens successfully. However, if I try and switch to unity mode, i get the error "Display config not supported ... upgrade to the latest hardware the version compat hardware to the latest version ..." If I look at the comp settings for the vm, it reads that it is already vm 11/fusion 7 compat. I have tried running it at vm 9 compat but still couldnt switch into unity mode.
In addition, I am running 3 external monitors which seem fine in yosemite. However, in fusion, I cannot seem to get all the monitors recognised - I just get the retina screen and the monitor on the hdmi port recognised. The DVI monitor just reflects what is shown on the HMDI monitor and if in windows I go into display settings, only 1 monitor can be seen which is the monitor which I have located the dock.
I'd be really grateful if someone could explain how I can do these things. I am not too familiar with mac so there may be settings I'm unaware of.
I have attached the support file
Many thanks
