I have a Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit VM that I use very often.
Today again I started Fusion to work with it and Fusion crashed on start. I tried again and again, but the result is always the same, it's crashing on start.
I figured that there may be something wrong with permissions, so I went and repaired everything in Disk Utility. Fusion was still crashing.
Then I tried to reinstall Fusion, so I first uninstalled it according to the "manual uninstallation" instructions, then re-downloaded it and installed it. The new Fusion starts but it doesn't recognize my Ubuntu VM (the VM doesn't show up in my library), and when I try to manually open the VM with Fusion it again crashes it.
I've tried to restart the laptop multiple times but it didn't help either.
Now I'm back to square 1, Fusion even after permissions repair and reinstallation still crashes on starting the VM.
On crash I get an error report on what happened. I saved and attached the report to this post.
Please take a look at the report and let me know how I could fix the VM. It'd be extremely important to recover it.
