Is it safe to delete subfolders of VMwareDnD, or is there a better way to get rid of them?

I'm running a trial of Fusion 7.1.1 on an iMac running Mavericks. I've loaded Windows 8.1 and so far I am quite happy with the product except for one thing: When I copy from the Mac side and paste into the VM it works, but there is full copy also kept in my temp files.

For example in the folder:  "C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Temp\vmware-Name\VMwareDnD\860697c5" there is a 10G+ copy of file folders I copied to my desktop.  From what I read, rebooting the system should take care of it, but it doesn't.  CCleaner won't delete them, and I'm nervous about manually deleting them and messing something up....

Grateful for any advice.
