So, I'm new to Mac, just purchased the 512MB retina display MacBook Pro. Been in IT for over 30 years, so I have some experience with software.
I downloaded Fusion 5 trial to be sure that it worked prior to purchase. Glad I did. Migration (using the PC Migration tool) from a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit machine hangs at 95% and never completes (cable connection).
I call VMWare and ask for support. So sorry, cannot support trial version. You have to purchase the product. How dumb is that? Would you go to a car dealership, have the car stall on a test drive and tell you that you have to purchase the car before you could get help?
Solution: uninstall trial copy, look for a different vendor.
