I generally use Word Perfect (5.1) and Quattro instead of the Microsoft equivalents since they work better and I have become familiar with them over the past decades. Also, one reason is that WP will read most Microsoft word files as well as producing them, whereas Microsoft Word is not so friendly. However, recently I have had a few instances where there were problems under virtual VMWare [Version 4.1.1 (536016)]. For example yesterday I tried to use the PDF output from a Word Perfect file and it kept giving me only the last page, which happened to be a jpg file I imported. However, when I took the .wpd file I had been using to a PC it worked fine, writing out the .pdf version of the whole document. I have often in the past output the .pdf version and it worked fine. I am using windows 7 Ultimate with service pack 1.
