I have followed the instructions to do this. Firewalls are off. The machines are on the same network. I have replaced routers and cables, but all paths lead to the same result: An error occurred: "Windows is having trouble talking to your Mac. Try turning off system preferences->sharing->File sharing. If you have a firewall on, disable it." Once again, to be clear, the firewalls on both machines are off. My questions:
1. I am now confused as to how the software was written to work because it seems to me I have been instructed to both turn file-sharing off and turn file-sharing on. Does the product need filesharing or not?
2. What's more, since the status message I was getting was 'preparing to migrate your pc", and I had already been authenticated to the pc, why am I now hearing about a connectivity issue?
3. Has anyone reading this successfully Migrated an existing Windows PC to a virtual machine that actually runs under Fusion 4.0?
Thanks.
