Hi,
I have a problem with opening web-links from my vm in my native os.
I have setup a Windows 8 VM via Fusion 5 on a MountainLion device.
Links in windows 8 always open in its internet explorer.
In the virtual machine settings i enabled the option to open Windows-files with Mac-Applications.
I think the problem are the standard applications in windows 8.
If I set the default webbrowser to "Default Host Application" it runs the VMWareHostOpen.exe twice and shows an error like window which explanes how to use the .exe (which is the normal behaviour if I just run the .exe from my explorer).
The "program access and defaults"-window closes and reopens with "Use my current webbrowser". That's why I can't verify that it is set correctly to "Default Host Application". But it still opens the links in ie.
If I run the VMWareHostOpen.exe with an url option (like http://www.google.com) it opens the url in my mac's Safari.
Any idea how to fix this?
