Mac on Mavericks
Fusion 6.02
This is a strange issue when exiting VMWare Fusion
I do not have auto start VM enabled so when i launch VMWare Fusion it opens the black screen with the play button. Without loading the VM if i go to upto the menu bar to exit VMWare Fusion in fullscreen mode it pans back to my Mac desktop but VMWare Fusion icon is still open in the dock. If i right click on it and choose quite it doesnt go away. To kill it I have to execute a force quit. Now if i launch VMWare Fusion and change it to windowed mode then go up to menu bar and quit it closes cleanly. Yet another strange behavior if i launch VMWare Fusion then execute the VM (Windows 7) then go to menu bar to exit in full-screen mode it shuts down VM (Window 7) and closes cleanly. How ever if you shutdown VM (Windows 7) first and let it go back to black screen with play button and quit it doesnt close cleanly. Using keyboard to quit (command + Q) results in a clean quit as well. Does anyone know why it VMWare Fusion hang when you try to close without a VM running in fullscreen using the menu bar? I didnt have this issue in VMWare Fusion 5.02. I again proved this by restoring using Time Machine and executing the same senarios.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
