Fusion 6 Unity Disabled on Windows 7 Guest OS

I'm running a Mac OS 10.9 and downloaded Fusion 6 on a 30-day trial.  So far so good and I managed to convert my old Windows 7 machine and got it running, no problems at all (very happy)

Now I want to test out the feature that would allow me to run Windows applications like a Mac application.  To do this, apparently I have to enable unity but unity is disabled for some reason.  I went through the troubleshooting steps below but none worked/applied to my environment.

Would really appreciate any help here.  This feature is a key deciding factor on whether I should purchase this or try out Parallels.
