1. How secure is my MAC from cross platform attacks
a. when Fusion is not running?
b. when Fusion is running, but Windows is not; e.g, VM loader program running in MAC background
c. when Windows is running on Fusion?
This topic should assume the obvious such as disabled Java and running a serious antivirus program on the XP machine
2. Should someone at VMWare write a white paper on how to secure their MAC when XP exists in Fusion?
3. Considering that 30% of the windows machines running today are XP, is there a market opportunity for VMware to develop a way to secure a virtual XP machine? I'm thinking about 30% of Microsoft's installed base buying a VMware product so they can continue safely (relative to current "safety" of Microsoft supported XP) using XP.
I loathe the thought of buying Windows 8 so that I can continue running fully supported VBasic. If it weren't for that, I'd dump Windows in a heartbeat. The MAC version of Office does not offer a good Visual Basic solution.
