Installing Fusion 6 on my freshly reinstalled OSX 10.9.2 makes my Mac unsusable

Hi guys,

I just formatted my Macbook Pro (mid 2010) this weekend with a fresh install of Mavericks (10.9.2). After I reinstalled all my software and restored my backup back, I noticed a crazy slowness that makes my Mac unusable.

I was getting the "your system has ran out of application memory" error each 2 seconds even when ALL my apps were turned off. I was starting to think my Mac had an hardware issue. Then I started uninstalling software to see if it could have been linked. The problem went away as soon as I uninstalled VMWare Fusion 6.

I was happy to have found my issue, but I'm now wondering whats the issue here. I've been using this product for some time now and I can't think about changing technology.

I tried reinstalling the trial this morning and the same slowness started again and it took me forever just to be able to uninstall it to get my MacBook back on track...

Take notes here, this is not about any Virtual Machines slowness, there's no actual VM imported yet !!!! This is about my Mac (host) getting literally unusable after install.

Here's a preview of my setup, don't hesitate asking questions or suggesting how I could make this work cause I really NEED this for business use.

Operating System:

OSX Maverick 10.9.2 (latest update)

Hardware:

Build 13C64
Proc: 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5

Mem: 8 Gb 1067 MHz DDR3

HDD: 1Tb SSHD hybrid

Thanks in advance!

Seb
