I'm running Fusion 6 on a new MacBook Pro. I have a window resizing problem only in my Linux clients (Ubuntu and Mint). My Windows 7 client is unaffected.
When I attempt to resize the window in Single Window mode it often staggers; going back and forth repeatedly between the new size and the old size. It does that for about a half second. Sometimes it ends up on the new size and sometimes it goes back to the original size. I usually can arrive at the size I want after multiple tries.
VMwareTools-9.6.1 is installed. Perhaps I didn't do this correctly? When I mounted the tools virtual CD I saw the usual VMwareTools tarball. But I also saw a shell script named run_upgrader.sh. I played around with the upgrader but didn't get far. At one point I got an error "RPC greeting failed: Host software version may not be compatible with the Upgrader". So I just ran the perl script found in the tarball and all seemed OK.
Anyone have any thoughts?
