I upgraded to VMWare Fusion 7 thinking it would fix some of the issues I had with VMWare Fusion 6. This has been a horrible mistake so far.
Aside from the Fusion 7 performance issues, it seems it is harder to get the application menu bar to pop up. There is no shortcut key to force it to pop up that I can find (why not?). Also, it seems like random when the menu bar will pop up or not when I drag the cursor to the top of the screen. It seems that if I move the cursor to the bottom of the screen, the mac menu will pop up eventually and then sometimes I can move the cursor to the top to access the vmware menu bar. But, this behavior all seems like random and I use this application too goddamn much to keep getting frustrated when it sometimes takes 5 minutes out of my day to get the goddamn menu bar to pop up so I can assign a network card to a different device.
So, how do I make the menu bar pop up every time without delay?
Also, some further items I won't shut up about in VMWare Fusion:
- You need to add an option to just close the virtual machine on power off or suspend. There is no point in having a fullscreen (or multi-monitor) display that just has a single big play button when I can do the same thing from my list of virtual machine in the main vmware menu.
- Please fix the Fusion 7 performance issues. Since I upgraded my VM, I cannot easily go back to Fusion 6.
- Fusion 7 seems to want to make the secondary monitor my main monitor in every virtual machine. I did not have this issue with Fusion 6.
