My virtual machine is unable to connect to Internet after I upgraded to Yosemite. I'm running Fusion 6.0.5. I use a very old windows auction database program (to track my auctions) which updates directly with ebay. This no longer works. With Mavericks there wasn't a problem. I now get an error message that it's not connecting with SSL. I'm not a technophile. Is there an easy diagnosis or fix? Tried Fusion 7 and it still didn't work. Now I'm back running 6 again. Could the problem be that I'm using ancient Windows XP? My database is 12 years old (yup ancient), runs on ancient Windows XP and I don't want to sink any more dough and time into it. I don't know if my old database would even work on a more recent version of windows. I can still view the data, but it won't update or add anything new automatically because of the SSL problem. Or is this a problem that should be addressed with Apple (because I never had this problem before)? Do you think it's time to drop my old database and use it for viewing only? I'm getting a new iMac. I can continue to view my old data on my old machine and start fresh using a MAC based database program. Does anyone agree that this is the way to go? Sorry for all the questions but I don't know how to proceed. Thanks very much.
