Fusion 6 Trial... Observations and Performance Tuning Questions

I was an early customer of Fusion for the first few versions ( I believe v1 and v2), but left for Parallels until recently because I use VMs to play online poker (my profession), and generally believe that Parallels feels snappier than Fusion for my poker software.  Even though I always sorta thought online poker software was more CPU than graphics intensive, I have always seen much snappier actions with Parallels with the small amount of animation involved such as chips moving and other animations involved in poker software.

After working through various stability and feature issues with Parallels 8 and now 9 with Mavericks I decided to download Fusion and try it again.  My overall opinion of Fusion is that it's much more polished and stable than PD9, but the graphics lag still seems to be there when working inside the VM.

My specs of my machine and VM are below.  Does anyone see things that can be improved to get rid of the lag, or is the old generalization of these products still accurate where Fusion is the more stable product and Parallels is better with games/graphics?

Computer - 2.6ghz i7 Macbook Pro Retina - Mid 2012, 8GB Ram,  500GB SSD, 10.9 Mavericks (Clean Install as of Yesterday)

Guest VM - Win 7 Home Prem, 2 Cores, 3GB Ram, enable hypervisor on, Accel 3D ON, NAT shared Networking, 60GB SCSI Split vmdk

Also I have two 27" Thunderbolt Monitors as well as the MBP open which I'm thinking could be a big load for the MBP's GPU to push and could be slowing it down.  I'd like to hear opinions on that as well.
